24 Hour Musical!

Auditioning ages 13-100! WE’RE DOING IT AGAIN! Audition with us to pull of an incredible (and often imitated, but never duplicated!) theatrical feat, a 24 Hour Musical! Auditions will be held on May 7th, 8th, & 9th here at ArtsView. “But what is the show?”, you may ask. You’ll find out! Those cast will meet us at Dodson Auditorium in Kilgore at 6:30pm on September 4th. At 7pm, the doors will lock, the clock will start, our cast will find out the show and their roles, and full on rehearsal will begin. At 7pm on September 5th, we will open to a ticketed audience for a one night only show of a full scale musical! “But when will the audience find out what show it is?” you wonder. When the music starts and the cast steps into the spotlight! We will post a list of those cast by Wednesday, May 13th with the first Cast Meeting May 24th at 6pm. ALL CAST UNDER THE AGE OF 18 MUST HAVE A PARENT OR GUARDIAN PRESENT AT THIS CAST MEETING. Please see Audition Details below for specific audition information. *PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION BELOW*

Story Synopsis

Our 4th Annual 24 Hour Musical! What will the show end up being this time?

Audition Details

Those auditioning should select and register for their audition time slot at the link below. Those auditioning are asked to prepare and sing 30 seconds to 1 minute of a fully memorized upbeat Musical Theatre song of your choice that is in the style of the show. This song should showcase the style and vocal range of the character(s) for which you are auditioning. Vocalization may also be assessed during the audition to determine your vocal range and harmonizing abilities. Auditions will also consist of cold reads from different shows, as well as choreography. By auditioning you understand you may not be cast in the role you want (or may not be cast at all) and agree that if you are cast, to play whatever role you are cast in to the best of your ability.
Please bring an instrumental track WITH NO VOICES of your prepared song with you. WE PREFER YOU EMAIL YOUR CUT AND READY TRACK TO US BEFORE YOUR AUDITION. The office email is artsview@artsviewact.com Your track can be played off your phone/ipad/ipod. We will supply a speaker with a connector for your phone. You may also accompany yourself with a handheld instrument (guitar, ukulele, etc). A cappella singing is highly discouraged. Those auditioning will also be asked to perform a brief dance combination that will be taught at the audition. During the audition process, you will also interact with those who are in your audition group. Ages may range from 13 to 100. Please come in clothes that allow freedom of movement while allowing you to remain appropriately covered. Out of respect for the age range and for your safety, crop tops, tube tops, sports bras with no over shirt, short shorts or skirts, high heels, and/or open toed shoes are strongly discouraged. Hair should be styled so that it remains out of your face during the audition process. We appreciate you dressing to impress, however, we also want you to be comfortable and able to move!
