Audition Details

Auditions will be held in a small group format and consist of cold reads from the script. We will make every effort to allow you to read for a specific character if you wish and if a side and the time is available, HOWEVER, by auditioning you understand you may not be cast in the role you want (or may not be cast at all) and agree that if you are cast, to play whatever role you are cast in to the best of your ability. Please come in clothes that allow freedom of movement while allowing you to remain appropriately covered. Out of respect for the age range and for your safety, crop tops, tube tops, sports bras with no over shirt, short shorts or skirts, high heels, and/or open toed shoes are strongly discouraged. Hair should be styled so that it remains out of your face during the audition process. We appreciate you dressing to impress, however, we also want you to be comfortable and able to move!
This is a musical! The Director has asked that auditioners come prepared to sing 30 seconds to 1 minute of a DISNEY song preferably in the style of Lin Manuel Miranda. — Disney songs in this style include any songs from Moana, Mary Poppins Returns, or Encanto, though Lin Manuel does have a wide song library. (please keep the song age appropriate!) Accompanying music track should be in a karaoke format with no vocals and should be cut to the section of the song you would like to use. You are welcome to email your audition cut to the office at artsview@artsviewact.com. Please be sure to include your name and your audition sign up date and time. If you prefer to bring your audition cut on your device, we will have a speaker available for you to physically plug into or connect via Bluetooth. If you are unable to cut the music down to your 30 second to 1 minute section, please know your start and end time in the track so we can quickly find the section you have prepared! YouTube is a great resource for finding karaoke tracks to most songs.
